FATE Development

4th March 2008

Fife Artists Together Enterprises started of as a Social Partnership between three projects: Crystal Galleries, Concepts and Subliminal Directions. However with the closure of Subliminal Directions, FATE is continuing to be developed by Concepts (James Glen & Duncan McMahon) and Crystal Galleries (Teresa Maria). F.A.T.E. is a not for profit project which receives funding through small donations from local organisations that have Social Aims and Objectives. All the work of F.A.T.E. is directed by three voluntary co-ordinators from each involved project, whilst co-ordinating a small group of artists and volunteers on the day.

Aims & Objectives

FATE aim to work with local artists and community centres/galleries to provide artist(s) the chance to exhibit their talent through group exhibitions. FATE is particulary aimed at those that do not earn their main income through the sale of artwork and is hopefully a stepping stone for the artist(s) to further exhibit their artwork elsewhere and hopefully lead to a potential creative career for the artist(s)

Involvement

FATE is dedicated to promoting the artwork of Fife based creative talent by working with Local Community Groups in the provision of Art Exhibitions throughout Fife. FATE is a non-profit making coalition and supports local artists in providing promotional opportunities.

FATE would like to thank all the artists that have participated in the past and present which has contributed to the growth and development of FATE, and wish them every success in their chosen creative field.

Past Funding & Support

FATE is a low cost operation due to the amount of in-kind and voluntary support FATE has recieved. Without this help none of the FATE exhibitions would have been sucessful. We would like to thank all the Social Organisations and Volunteers for all their help and support.

FATE has recieved financial support from the following people and organisations:

  • School for Social Entreprenuers
  • Lochgelly Regeneration Forum
  • Subliminal Directions
